What is the best part of the overnight trips—they are only overnight! That means packing your luggage would be a much easier thing to do than long-term journeys. And you can spend more time enjoying your day with friends or your family.
Although you want to be on your way in no time, there are a few things that you need to travel with. Read this article to make sure you are not a complete mess on the destination and lose cool.
How to Pack?
1. Make a packing list first.
Write down everything you think will be used during the trip or is necessary to pack into your bag. Double-check to ensure there are no missing or repeated travel supplies. Get rid of bulky items or change them into travel size.
2. Get yourself a duffel or a backpack.
Don’t bother carrying a suitcase because you will be only gone for a night. Travel light with a duffel weekender bag or a garment bag backpack is an informed choice. Need a new one? To help you save an excruciating amount of time, we’ve rounded up a list of recommendations:

3. Place your shoes at the bottom of the bag.
If your travel bag doesn’t have a separate shoe compartment, place your shoes at the bottom or along the side to save place. You’d better wrap your shoes with a plastic bag or a packing cube to keep other belongings clean and spiffy.
4. Prepare change of clothes.
Wear something comfortable during the trip, like a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. If possible, you can wear them again on the return trip so you don’t have to take many changes of clothes. Choose a nice outfit if you have a romantic dinner or other important events. Don’t forget to pack one extra pair of shoes to match your outfits, like high-heels for women or patent leather shoes for men.
5. A pair of cozy, lightweight pajamas.
Cozy pajamas help you sleep comfortably. If you sleep in your next day’s outfits, they can easily get wrinkled and leave you embarrassed.
6. Underwear and socks.
Fold them up and put them into your clothes since they are lightweight and soft.
7. Pack essential toiletries and beauty products.
Toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, comb or hairbrush, and shaving cream are must-haves. Most hotels provide shampoo and soap for their customers, if you don’t want to share these toiletries with others, prepare them yourself. Some ladies like to wear makeup when going out, so bring some cosmetics into the bag and keep what you need to touch up handy, like lipstick or makeup powder.
Travel Tips:
1. Check the weather at your destination.
Bring an umbrella, hat, or sunscreen according to the weather.
2. Bring some snacks.
If you spend a long time in the car to your destination, prepare some snacks in a bag to keep you energetic.
3. Take a pillow or blanket if possible.
If you travel by car or need to get some sleep during the trip, take a small blanket or pillow with you and leave them in your car when arriving at the destination.
4. Sleeping mask and earplugs.
Some people are very sensitive to sound and light. So get earplugs and a sleeping mask ready in case you can’t take a good rest due to the noise or light.
